Capture GO (“we”, “us”, “our”) values your privacy. This policy describes what the app collects, why, and what it does not do.
Anonymous account identifier. When you first open the app an anonymous account is created so your progress — coins, streaks, collected shapes, unlocked proverbs — survives reinstalling. It is not linked to your name or email.
Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, we store the identifier Apple gives us so your progress can follow you to another device. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we only ever see the relay address.
Profile you choose. A username and an avatar emoji, which are yours to change, plus your total play time and the date your account was created.
Gameplay data. Games you finish are stored so the app can show your history and replay them move by move. Local games are stored on your device; if you are signed in, finished games may also be archived to our servers so they are not lost when you change device.
Purchases. If you buy anything, Apple handles the payment and we never see your card or billing details. We receive the fact of the purchase and its status, through RevenueCat, so the app knows what you own.
Crash reports and usage analytics. We collect crash diagnostics and aggregated, non-identifying usage events (for example, that a tutorial step was completed) to fix bugs and understand which parts of the app are used. These are tied to the anonymous identifier above, not to you personally.
Game Center. If you use Game Center, leaderboards and achievements are handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy. Your Game Center identity is not shared with us beyond what Apple provides for verifying it.
These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell data to anyone.
Online multiplayer is currently switched off in the app, so no match data is being exchanged with other players. If it returns, this policy will be updated before it does, and the section below will describe it accurately:
When online play is active, a username and avatar emoji you have chosen are visible to your opponent, and moves are relayed through our servers to keep both sides of the game in sync.
Capture GO is rated 4+ and is suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app does not require an account, does not contain advertising, and does not ask for a name, email address or location.
Connections use industry-standard encryption. Game archives and profile data are kept while your account exists. You can ask us to delete everything associated with your account at any time.
